Welcome

Established in 2007, the Gulf Coast Vietnamese Golf Association is one of many official Vietnamese regional golf associations across the country.

Our organization currently includes four states, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. One of our purposes is to foster interest in amateur golf and to encourage friendly competition amongst Vietnamese members living within the Gulf Coast as well as other regional Vietnamese golf associations throughout the United States and Canada.

GCVGA promotes learning the game of golf, improving at the game of golf, and building strong friendships within the community. GCVGA is also involved in the Vietnamese community with raising money for local charities. GCVGA utilized the USGA-Sanctioned Handicapping System to promote fair and friendly competition among our members.

Our website is under development and will be used as a tool for our members and guests to participate in all aspects of our association.

To all members of GCVGA:

I am sorry about not posting score from the last tournament.  there are a couples of notice that needed to be posted.

 

1.  Due to bad weather Sunday August 29, GCVGA had to cancel the club champion,  Tim is working on a new date, sorry if this caused any inconvience to any member, but all the rain made the course unplayable.

2.  Ours year end event will be posted in the coming week, this is a family events so bring the kids and the WIFE. There will be food and activities for the whole family.  Please email Mike Nguyen if you are coming.

ex: You and the number of people in your family. Please email Mike as soon as possible so that we can have an idea of how many peoples to cook for. By the way the name of the cook is Butter.  The location and time will be announce when we know the number of peoples coming.

3.  The Lake Charles tournament with HVGA is around the corner and we have 23 player signed up, any information needs to be addressed with Mike Nguyen.

4.  Due to the cancellation of two tournament, GCVGA will not go to the POINT SYSTEM this year, GCVGA will announce a new date for the Club Champion.

 

The year is coming to an end but GCVGA is considering some winter tournament for all the snow birds willing to brave the weather, so keep in touch for any information. Again I am sorry for any inconvience with posting scores or information.
